Come and Eat All the Pies

Traditional East End Pie Mash and Liquor is just one of the range of pies on offer in the new menu at the Kings Head and Queens Jules in Bungay.
Other pies on offer are Chicken and Mushroom, Meat and Potato and a vegetarian cheese, potato and egg. They will be available for take away as well as to eat in at £2.50 for an individual pie or £5.95 for a family sized one.
"Pie and mash has been a staple of the London diet since the 19th Century," said chef Julie Anderson. "It is one of my family's favourites and I am using an old family recipe for the parsley sauce liquor."
"We wanted to offer something different in Bungay - there are some great restaurants and cafes but this is not something that has been available before. If you haven't tried it, your gastronomic experience is not complete."
As well as the standard set of pies there will be weekly specials including game in season. Each comes with the its tradional type of pastry, shot crust, suet, filo, sweet hot water crust etc.and speciality like chocolate pastry for chilli beef pies.
