The Kings Head Hotel, itself steeped in history, is ideally situated to allow visitors the opportunity to sample all the rich variety of attractions that East Anglia has to offer.
Bungay is a picturesque market town, rich in history, with the English Heritage recognising the town as a conservation area. There is the distinctive 'Buttercross' market place in the town centre which dates back to 1689 and Bigod's Castle, rebuilt in around 1300, whose ruins are now open to the public. The recently restored Fisher Theatre has won a number of awards and has a full and broad programme of events.

Bungay and the surrounding countryside is the perfect place to relax, with the river Waveney providing fishing and boating, whilst near by there is an 18 hole golf course. For the more energetic there are a range of picturesque country walks, varying in length.
